Diagrama Wins Contract for Bromley Supported Living Service

Friday, 19 March, 2021

Diagrama is pleased to announce that they have been awarded a 5-year contract for the management of a supported living service for adults with learning disabilities in the London Borough of Bromley.

From the 1st April, Diagrama will manage the service for 35 people across 9 different homes throughout the borough. Diagrama is an experienced care provider with three homes for adults with learning disabilities in Orpington, a 48-bed home offering nursing and dementia care for the elderly in Clacton as well as semi-independent living support for vulnerable 16 to 25-year-olds in three homes in Canterbury.

Supported living focuses on supporting vulnerable people to develop the skills and confidence to live in their own house either on their own or with others so they can lead independent, fulfilled lives. Everyone is different, so the support varies according to each person's individual needs. The support we will deliver will be person-centred, so they can live the life they choose. We will work closely with other local organisations to support access to a wide variety of opportunities to be active, valued members of their local community.

David McGuire, Diagrama Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the contract and are grateful to the London Borough of Bromley for this opportunity. Our key priorities will be to understand the individual needs of each service user so we can ensure the support they receive from Diagrama is always person-centred and designed to develop their strengths to fulfil their unique potential. This means listening and learning from the people we will serve, their families and staff already supporting them.

We are pleased to be able to extend the support for adults with learning disabilities across the borough and to build on our current provision at Cabrini House residential care in Orpington. Our focus is on empowering and giving service users a voice, and helping them develop the skills they need to have a role and make choices to live the life they want, as independently as possible. The Diagrama team has a wealth of experience in the care sector and we have put in place a comprehensive programme to introduce service users, their families, and the team of carers to Diagrama and to reassure service users that their care and support will continue without disruption.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone involved and have arranged virtual meetings for family members who may have questions for our team.”

Due to the restructure as a result of the contract award, we are now recruiting for P/T and F/T development workers, with potential earnings up to £23,400, based in the London Borough of Bromley. If you are looking for a rewarding career helping adults with learning disabilities to unlock their full potential and enjoy a full life as part of their community. We'd love to hear from you.
