All staff understand and respect that religious and cultural beliefs can play a vital part in resident’s lives. The role of the staff will be to ensure that all the residents are able to follow a religion of their choice.

If required, staff will help residents to make contact with local religious establishments. Positive steps are taken by staff to provide facilities for residents to follow any special requirements of their religion such as special dietary needs, individual prayer areas and the celebration of religious and cultural occasions. All necessary efforts are made by staff to ensure that all important aspects of a resident’s religion and culture are met.

We believe that it is important for residents to have the opportunity to learn about and experience different religions, cultures and beliefs and will be given opportunities to experience different celebrations and ceremonies.
